Investment Programme for Obtaining a Permanent Residence Permit in Cyprus (category F)

Pursuant to Rule 6(2) of the Regulation on Foreigners and Immigration, the Ministry for Internal Affairs adopted the decision on granting permanent residence permit to third-country nationals, in cases where they meet the following criteria:
 
  • An applicant must purchase residential property with minimum market price of 300 000 Euros (VAT exclusive) in Cyprus directly from the constructor (original sale).
  • An applicant must prove that he/she has a secured minimum annual income of 30000 Euros from sources other than employment in Cyprus. This amount of 30000 Euros may be received from wages, pensions, shares, rentals, etc. accrued abroad, but not in Cyprus. The required minimum annual income for each dependent of the applicant shall be not less that 5000 Euros.
  •  An applicant or his/her spouse must provide a written document from a Cypriot bank, which confirms that he/she holds the minimum amount of 30.000,00 Euros on his/her bank deposit account for not less than three years.
  • An applicant must provide a reference of non-criminal record (if the applicant resides abroad), issued by the relevant authorities in his/her country of origin.
  • An applicant must provide a letter which states that he/she does not plan to be employed or engage in any kind of business in Cyprus.
  • An applicant and his/her family members who have received a permanent residence permit must visit Cyprus not less than once in two years.
Major terms:

An applicant must confirm the incoming of funds for purchase of immovable property from abroad to Cyprus and a deposit on the bank account in a Cypriot bank as mentioned above.

The approximate term for considering applications is 3 to 5 months.
